Acrobat bestaat uit het commerciële pakket om pdf-documenten te creëren en de gratis Reader om ze te kunnen lezen. Andere talen, waaronder de Nederlandse, volgen spoedig. Dit was in eerste instantie ook het geval bij het uitkomen van 10.0.0. De update is beschikbaar voor Windows en Mac OS X, maar slechts in een beperkt aantal talen.
